Are you a moving company?
Yes. Sawgrass Moving and Relocation is a fully licensed and insured Palm Beach County moving company running our own trucks and uniformed crews, with Florida FDACS registration and USDOT/MC authority. We are not a broker or a matching service. When you book us, our crew loads your home and our crew unloads it at the other end.
Can you explain how you arrive at a flat rate?
We walk your inventory, your building's rules, and your timeline, then quote one flat number for the whole job. That price is locked before move day, so it does not creep upward on an hourly clock. Local moves can also be booked hourly at $165 an hour for two movers and a truck or $225 an hour for three, with the one-hour minimum waived, but most customers prefer the flat rate that opens at $425 for a studio or one-bedroom.
Do you handle high-rise condos with HOA move-in rules?
Constantly. Oceanfront and Intracoastal towers in West Palm, Boca, and Delray usually require a certificate of insurance on file, a reserved freight-elevator window, and a dock-time slot. Carmen in our office handles the COI and elevator reservations ahead of time so your move day does not stall in the lobby waiting on paperwork.
What does it cost to hold my date?
Putting $115 down reserves your spot on the calendar, and we knock that same $115 off when the final bill comes due. During snowbird high season from November through April the calendar fills early, so reserving sooner gives you more date options.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We hold Florida FDACS intrastate moving registration plus USDOT/MC authority for interstate moves, and we carry our own insurance. Every shipment travels under standard released-value coverage of $0.60 per pound, with full-value protection available and up to $1,000,000 in cargo coverage per shipment.
Do you move snowbirds out of state?
That is a big part of what we do. We run long-distance routes out of Lake Worth up the East Coast to Washington DC, New York, and Boston, plus Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, Houston, and across Florida to Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville. The same crew loads in Palm Beach County and unloads at the destination, so nothing changes hands mid-trip.
How do you handle summer heat and hurricane season?
Our crews stage early to load before the worst of the afternoon heat, and during the June-through-November wet season we shrink-wrap furniture against the daily downpours. When a system is spinning in the Atlantic we watch the tropics closely and will work with you to move a date if a storm threatens your window.
Can your crews work in Spanish?
Yes. Owner Marco Delgado and our crew chiefs are bilingual, and we run bilingual EN/ES crews on every job. Whether you are most comfortable in English or Spanish, you can talk through the details with the people actually doing the move.
Do you move pianos, gun safes, and other specialty items?
Yes. Crew chief Luis Ferrer leads our piano and specialty work, so heavy and awkward pieces are handled by movers who do it routinely rather than figure it out on the spot. Let us know about any specialty item when you request a quote so the right crew and equipment are scheduled.
