01 Overview

West Palm Beach is a downtown-condo town, and that changes everything about a move here. Half our West Palm jobs end at a glass tower over Rosemary Square or a mid-rise in Northwood, and the other half are bungalows in Flamingo Park or El Cid that haven’t seen a basement once in their lives. Sawgrass Moving and Relocation runs both kinds out of our Lake Worth yard, with our own trucks, our own uniformed bilingual crew, and one flat number quoted up front.

Planning a move in this corner of Palm Beach County? Palm Beach County movers works these gated communities, oceanfront towers, and 55-plus villages just about every week.

The high-rise logistics nobody warns you about

Downtown buildings off Okeechobee Blvd and along the Intracoastal run on freight-elevator reservations, dock-time slots, and a certificate of insurance on file before anyone touches a door. We do this every week. Once you give us the building, Carmen in our office calls management, books your elevator and dock window, and sends over the COI naming your HOA. Our high-rise lead Kyle pads the elevator, lays floor runners through the lobby, and keeps the crew inside your booked slot so you’re not paying the building an overage.

What our West Palm crew brings to a tower move

  • Freight-elevator and loading-dock reservations confirmed before move day
  • Certificate of insurance issued to your association and property manager
  • Elevator pads, lobby floor runners, and door-jamb protection
  • A truck staged at the service entrance, not blocking Dixie or Federal

Bungalows, ranches, and the heat

Off the water it’s a different job — terrazzo-floored mid-century ranches and CBS single-family homes with two-car garages and screened lanais. No basements, slab on grade, so it’s all ground-floor carries in the South Florida sun. From June through November we load at dawn to beat the afternoon storms and shrink-wrap upholstery the second the radar lights up. From November to April the snowbird calendar is full, so book your West Palm date early.

Flat-rate, not an hourly surprise

A studio or one-bed downtown opens at $425 flat. If hourly fits your move better, it’s two movers and a truck at $165/hr with the one-hour minimum waived, or a three-mover crew at $225/hr for the bigger condos and houses. A $115 deposit holds your elevator window and comes right off the final bill. Get my free moving quote and we’ll lock in your downtown date.

We move West Palm Beach

Our crews run West Palm Beach week in and week out, so the gate codes, the HOA move-in windows, the freight-elevator reservations, and the security checkpoints are second nature long before the truck rolls up. Our quote is a single flat rate, set down in writing — you will not find unexpected charges tucked into the fine print.

02 Why us

Whatever name is painted on the truck is the same name signed on your contract

Book Sawgrass and the truck at your curb is ours, the paperwork is ours, and the bilingual crew wheeling your sofa onto the condo freight elevator draws a Palm Beach County paycheck from us — your move is never sold off. A broker runs the opposite way: they shop your job to whoever underbids that week, then vanish from the picture.

Sawgrass Moving and Relocation
  • The trucks belong to us and so do the full-time, background-checked movers riding in them — we never staff a job with day labor scraped off a listing board
  • Whatever figure we put on paper is the figure you settle — locked in, signed, and exact to the dollar
  • One unchanged crew, from the first box hoisted onto the truck to the last one carried through your new door
  • Florida (FDACS) intrastate moving registration, USDOT/MC on the books for interstate runs, and every single job backed by full insurance and up to $1,000,000 in cargo coverage
  • One Lake Worth office and one point of contact, from your first call to the last box set down
What a broker does
  • Hands your move off to whatever outfit happens to undercut the rest that week
  • Allows the price to balloon the day of the move, padded with extras that were never raised beforehand
  • Sends a crew you have not exchanged a single word with up your staircase, your whole household in their hands
  • Keeps it vague about which insurance policy actually covers a TV that hits the floor
  • Stands a call center in your way, so reaching whoever eventually turns up to load is a maze

What West Palm Beach movers ask us

Can you handle a high-rise condo move downtown near CityPlace or Rosemary Square?
Yes. We move into the Rosemary Square towers, the Flamingo Park edge, and the downtown high-rises regularly. Once you tell us the building, we call the management office, reserve the freight elevator and loading dock for your window, and send Carmen the certificate of insurance they need on file before our truck pulls up.
My building requires a certificate of insurance before move day. Can Sawgrass provide one?
Always. As a Florida FDACS-registered, USDOT/MC-insured company, we carry our own coverage and issue a COI naming your association and property manager. Most downtown West Palm buildings need it 48 hours ahead, so send us the requirements when you book and we handle the paperwork directly with the office.
How does parking work for a move on Clematis or near the Intracoastal?
Tight. Our dispatcher Trevor scouts the dock or service entrance ahead of time and we stage the truck where the building allows rather than the public street. If the only option is a metered or timed zone, we pull permits or coordinate a dock slot so loading runs straight through without a ticket or a tow.
