Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Sawgrass Moving and Relocation website and the moving services we provide as a licensed Palm Beach County moving company. By requesting a quote or booking a move with us, you agree to the terms described here. Sawgrass holds Florida FDACS intrastate moving registration and USDOT/MC authority for interstate moves.

Quotes and booking

Quotes are based on the information you provide about your home, inventory, addresses, building requirements, and move date. We quote a flat rate for the whole job and lock it before move day; the price may change only if the actual scope differs materially from what was described, such as a larger inventory, added stops, or access conditions we were not told about. Reserving a date takes $115 up front, an amount that is later applied as a credit against your final bill.

Pricing and payment

  • Local hourly rates are $165 for two movers and a truck and $225 for three, with the one-hour minimum waived
  • Local flat-rate moves open at $425 for a studio or one-bedroom
  • Long-distance moves are quoted as a flat rate based on home size and distance
  • Final payment is due on completion of the move unless we have agreed otherwise in writing

Coverage and liability

All shipments travel under standard released-value protection of $0.60 per pound per article, which is included at no additional charge. Full-value protection is available as an option, and we carry up to $1,000,000 in cargo coverage per shipment. Claims for loss or damage must be submitted in writing within the timeframe required by applicable regulations.

Cancellations and rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule, contact our office as early as possible. During the November-through-April high season and for long-distance moves, dates and elevator slots are in high demand, so early notice helps us accommodate changes.

Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information, secure any required building approvals such as certificates of insurance and elevator reservations, and ensure safe access for our crew at both addresses. Hazardous materials, perishables, and certain valuables are excluded from transport.
